There are days when you just need your lucky charm or a healing gemstone close to you. My heart recently didn’t feel right and I know it has something to do with my mind. But I thought having some healing energy close to it wouldn’t be wrong and thought of something to have a druids bead close to my heart.
I made this necklace using thread and a small 1,5mm crochet hook to make a little pocket-like net for my talisman. The following pattern is written in standard US crochet terms.
The following pattern is free, but maybe you want to support my crochet works and buy the pattern PDF in one of my shops.
Pattern Talisman Necklace
Materials: Thread, 1,5mm crochet hook
BASE form a magic ring
ROUND 1 into the magic ring make *1sc, 4ch* x5, 1sc, 1ch, 1dc into the first stitch (this is to start right in the bow)
ROUND 2 1sc around the previous dc, *5ch, 1sc* x5 2ch, 1dc into first stitch
Repeat round 2 a couple times (I made round 2 five times) until it fits your talisman.
Finish off, then measure some thread that is long enough to go around your neck, cut off more than you would need, the size will be adjustable.
Run the thread through the last round going up and down (shown with the yellow thread). Or sew through the base of the sc of last row. When you pull the ends tight the crocheted net is closing.
Pull both ends through a bead and make a knot with each end around the other, this way you can adjust the size of the necklace.
